Those who ave completed 6 years can be given admission in Std 1
The Department of education has issued a circular to allthe DEO of the State stating that the Age Qualification for Admission in STD 1 from the Academic year 2023-24 is 6 years.The Education department has also instructed the parnts who ar currently taking admission of their children in the nursery toensure that their child reaches the age of 6 years at the time of admission in STD.
Every district Education Officer has been givn the responsiblity to make the parents aware of this issue.
There was confusion among the school administrators rgarding th age at which the children should be given admission in the nursery.there was a discussion in the group of school administrators abut the age of admission administrators demanded that the education department make a statement in this regard.
so the education department has again sent the locked down circular to each DEO, instructing the parents along with all the schools to take action to make them aware of this rule.so that no parent gets in trouble after three years in the ongoing nursery admission
