GPSC List of Eligible Candidates for appearing in the Main Written Examination Advertisement No. 26/2020-21. :The following 6152 candidates are declared provisionally qualified in the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Exam conducted by the Gujarat Public Service Commission on 21.03.2021 for the Advt. No. 26/2020-21, Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Service, Class 1 & 2 and Gujarat State Municipal Chief Officers’ Service, Class-2. The candidates are declared provisionally qualified for appearing in the Main Written Examination, subject to their fulfilling all conditions of eligibility of Advt. No. 26/2020-21.
- Gujarat Public Service Commission has announced the result of GPSC Class I & II Preliminary Examination. A total of 212 candidates have qualified for the main written examination.
- It may be mentioned here that the Commission has appointed a total of 14 posts such as Deputy Collector / Deputy District Development Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP), 40, District / Deputy Registrar, 07, Assistant State Tax Commissioner, 5, Deputy Director (App. Caste welfare) total 01; In all, a total of 21 posts of Class-I and 6 of Section Officer (Secretariat), 01 of Section Officer (Legislative Assembly), 01 of Assistant District Registrar, 5 of State Tax Officer, 5 of District Inspector Land Office, 5 of Government Labor Officer Total 6, Social Welfare Officer (VJ) Vicharati Total 08 M Jointly Total 12 posts of Class-II A total of 5 posts were compiled and advertisement was published on 12/11/2050. The preliminary test was held on March 31, 2021.
- The main written examination will be held on July 18, 21 and 7. There will be a total of 8 question papers in the main written examination. Question Paper-1: Gujarati; Question Paper-2: English, Question Paper-2: Essay; Question Paper-2: General Studies-1; Question Paper-2: General Study-2 and Question Paper-2: General Study-2.
- English / Gujarati language question papers in any language while other candidates can give question papers in their preferred language. Two questions can be written in different languages in the same question paper.
- The result of the main examination will be announced in November 2021. Approximately three times as many candidates will be called for interview in front of the space. Interviews will be held in December and final results will be released before December 31, 2021.
- In accordance with the rules of the examination, all these candidates have to apply again for admission to the main examination in the detailed application form, as per the instruction of the commission.

Note:-
- Cut-off marks means marks obtained by the last candidate in merit list (arrangement of total marks obtained in descending order) of the concerned category.
- As per Final Answer key declared for Paper-1 (CSP-1), Seven (7) questions are cancelled. Therefore, it is decided by the Commission to equally distribute the marks of cancelled questions among 193 questions on pro-rata basis, as such evaluation has been carried out by treating each question with 1.036 mark for the right answer and (-) 0.311 mark for the wrong/multiple encoded/blank answer for Paper-1 in this result
- Paper-2 (CSP-02), Five (5) questions are cancelled. Therefore, it is decided by the Commission to equally distribute the marks of cancelled questions among 195 questions on pro-rata basis, as such evaluation has been carried out by treating each question with 1.026 mark for the right answer and (-) 0.308 mark for the wrong/multiple encoded/blank answer for Paper-2 in this result.
- In the cases, when Cut-off marks of reserved category candidates is higher than general category candidates, Cut-off marks of reserved category candidates required to be lowered down to the Cut-off marks of General category candidates.
- Accordingly, in this result, Cut-off marks of General Category (Male) is 118.47 marks whereas Cut-off marks of EWS (Male), SEBC (Male) and SC (Male) Category is 150.66, 141.09 and 135.51 respectively.
- Therefore, Cut off marks of EWS (Male), SEBC (Male) and SC (Male) Category is lowered down to 118.47 marks which is equivalent to the Cut-off marks of General (Male) category Cut-off Marks of General (Female) Category is 99.00 marks whereas Cut- off marks of EWS (Female), SEBC (Female) and SC (Female) category is 116.82, 106.45 and 109.43 respectively. Therefore, Cut-off marks of EWS (Female), SEBC (Female) and SC (Female) category is lowered down to 99.00 marks which is equivalent to the Cut-off marks of the General (Female) Category.
- As per the instruction of circular No. CRR-1096-2213-G.2, Dated: 31.08.2004 of General Administration Department, result of the widow candidates is prepared after addition of Bonus Mark. Bonus marks is 5% marks of the obtained marks by the candidate.
- Cut-off Marks of the respective categories are reduced up to 10% of the regular cut-off of the respective categories to consider candidates belonging to PH category in cases when adequate number of candidates are not selected from PH category
